That includes Supervisors overseeing progress, and Registered Behaviour Techs working with your child every day.
We are the only therapy provider in Australia to be awarded a distinction in our field by the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence in 2017.
Highly trained and qualified therapists = higher quality therapy hours.
Parents don’t need to hire their own university students as is often the case with other providers. We take care of everything for you.
We attend annual conferences, have expert supervision from around the world, and prioritise professional development in all our staff to ensure the highest quality therapy.
Beanstalk Child Psychology is an Adelaide based, NDIS accredited therapy provider for children. The Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE) has awarded Beanstalk Child Psychology with a Distinction, recognising the organisation as a top Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) service provider in Australia. Beanstalk is the first, and currently the only organisation to receive this distinction in Australia. The award celebrates exceptional special needs providers that excel in the areas of clinical quality, staff satisfaction and qualifications, and consumer satisfaction. These areas are measured via a wide-ranging audit, including interviews with agency clinical leadership, a detailed staff qualification review, an anonymous staff satisfaction survey, and an anonymous consumer satisfaction survey. Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention (EIBI) based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis is currently the most effective treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In these sessions we have lots of fun teaching your child how to play, communicate and respond to others around them. These sessions consist of a Registered Behaviour Technician coming out to your house for 2-3 hours at a time, intensively implementing the program set by your overseeing Program Supervisor for at least 20 hours per week. We use a lot of natural environment training and sessions and are jam-packed full of silliness and laughter! Parents must attend clinics once a fortnight, and someone must be home during therapy sessions. We encourage parents to be a part of every therapy session so that new skills learned can be generalised. We review EIBI progress with formal assessments every 6 months.
We provide support to our clients at school, to ensure they are maximising their time in the classroom. Possible interventions in the classroom can include teaching self-management of independent work, increasing peer interaction, and participation in groups. We also work with schools to create a tailored modified curriculum that your child can access – working hard alongside their peers but doing work at an appropriate level for their current ability. We are in a number of DECD schools, and Catholic and other Independent schools, as well as Early Learning Centres and kindergartens around South Australia.
This is a Positive Behaviour Support service for families who are looking for help to reduce their child’s challenging behaviour. We start by getting you (and teachers etc) to collect info via an ABC behaviour diary to see what events are surrounding the behaviour. From there we come out to you – we do an observation where the behaviour is occurring (either in your home, in school or in the community). These sessions typically last 2 hours at a time, with an ultimate aim of providing parents with strategies to effectively reduce behaviour. These sessions typically last 6 to 8 weeks depending on severity and number of behaviours.
